...I don't know why I didn't do this years ago, fostering is a rewarding, worthwhile opportunity and a fantastic career move... The staff are always helpful and supportive, only a phone call away 24/7, 365 days a year…
If you are an approved foster carer with or without a placement and would like to discuss the option of becoming a foster carer for Futures for Children please contact us and we can help talk you through you with the process.
We will not approach your current agency/Local Authority at the initial stage of your inquiry.
If you feel that your existing providers are not giving you the right level of support, feel isolated, or undervalued, then speak to us about becoming part of the Futures for Children family.
To ensure that we are able to offer placement choice, we are continually looking to recruit new foster carers from varied backgrounds and life experiences. Our foster carers are a valued and respected part of the ‘team around the child’ and are fully supported by a professional and dedicated staff group.
Our goal is to ensure that all children and teenagers are supported to develop the skills and abilities to progress and achieve their potential.
The Futures Group is committed to supporting local authorities to meet their sufficiency targets as required under Section 22G of the Children Act 1989 (‘the 1989 Act’). The organisation’s recruitment strategy is to recruit foster carers from different backgrounds, cultures and religions to ensure that more choice is available to local authorities when seeking placements.
If you are a Local Authority and would like to place a child or young person with us please contact our Placements team

Become a Carer
Fostering can be a challenging task but also one of the most rewarding. If you feel that you could make a difference to the life of a vulnerable child or young person by providing a safe and caring environment and would like to discuss this further, please click on the ‘Register Interest’ button on the top left of this page and a member of our team will contact you. Alternatively you can contact your local office.
We are inspected by Ofsted against the Fostering Services (England) Regulations 2011 and The National Minimum Standards 2011. Futures for Children is part of the Futures Group which has offices in Kent, Essex, London, Surrey, Buckinghamshire, Northamptonshire and Durham.
As an existing foster carer it is important that you work with a company that is able to fully support both the children and foster carers. A lot of carers from Local Authorities and other Agencies come to us and feel that there could be more done for themselves and the looked after children.
