Futures For Children is proud to be celebrating Foster Care Fortnight 2021.
The aim is to raise awareness of the power of fostering and to celebrate everyone within the fostering community.
Entering the foster care system as a child or young person can be a scary and stressful experience. Being a Foster Carer allows a looked-after-child or young person to have a safe, loving and supportive home whilst they are unable to live with their birth family, enabling them to thrive, adapt and most importantly have the positive childhood that they deserve.
Did you know, in England on 31st March 2020, 57,380 children were living with foster families?
Did you know, every 20 minutes another child comes into care needing a foster family in the UK?
With more children and young people coming into care the need for foster carers keeps on growing. We are looking for people like you who could provide a safe and loving home to a child in need.
Fostering is like raising birth children - significantly hard work, with highs and lows, but very rewarding. By becoming a Foster Carer you could provide the joy of new experiences to a child, a child who may never have done even the simplest of things, such as going to the beach.
